Launched on 8th March 2024, our platform, Doctors on Wheel, is committed to bringing about positive change by addressing the issue of inequality in access to healthcare and education for children under the age of 15. Our first medical camp, held at Mbale Malukhu Primary School on the 8th of March as we mark International Women's Day, was a resounding success, with over 300 children tested and checked by a team of 20 volunteer medical workers. The children were so inspired that most wanted to become doctors, health workers, or teachers when they grew up. However, they must stay healthy and stay in school to achieve their dreams. Vantage's stakeholder engagement and communication competencies were leveraged to unite actors towards common goals, raise awareness, and educate and empower communities on their social rights.
